This workshop will look into the recent advances in new inks with serography. These interactive inks are opening up new markets and applications. From a common background in the early days of automation and industrial production, textiles and technology share a common future. Textiles can now be wired with electronics that can effect design and communicate with the public. In this workshop, we will experiment with thermochromatic inks that change color with heat and cold, photochromic that changes in sunlight and darkness and glow in the dark inks. We will be screening designs on pillowcases.
